sneak peek: anna sheffield for target

i haven’t done a really good pre-release stalking of a target collection in ages, so i’m thrilled to see from the preview pics that their latest collaboration with jewelry designer anna sheffield (of bing bang jewelry) is definitely worthy of at least a little stalk-age.

sadly, like so many of the target collabs, i think the designer’s signature style is so pared down in this collection that you’d never know who created the looks, which is unfortunate.  but, even without bing bang‘s signature punk appeal, these pieces are a great, cheap way to add some serious style to your look.

it’s no surprise to see a bevy of multi-chain necklaces in the collection.  they show no signs of losing their popularity this fall, and they’re a great way to boost the cool quotient of an otherwise bland ensemble.  but i’m actually after the earrings in this collection.

i love those long-but-light dangling chains, and the super-sparkly studs, which i’m hoping are just as lovely in person.  and there are some bird earrings that, though i’m a little over the whole bird thing, have enough of a hip/love tattoo vibe that i just might need those as well.

best of all, prices are supposed to stick under $80, and i’m betting the bulk of the line will sit squarely in the $30-50 range.  not the biggest bargain in town, but when you consider her regular line will run you about 10x that, it looks better all the time.

check out more pics from the line over at fabsugar, and save me a spot in line when they debut on august 30.
