I’ve been obsessing about these gorgeous gems from Jené DeSpain for so long, it’s high time I shared the love. Jené is an incredibly talented designer who still makes each and every one of her styles by hand. Her pieces somehow manage to range all the way from 1910s/Art Deco to modern geometrics, but in a way that still keeps her line cohesive. But you don’t really care about cohesive, do you? You just want to see the pretties.
Clockwise, from top left: Empire earrings with green onyx, $72; Griffin hoops, $74; Chrysler earrings in blue quartz, $72; Rockefeller necklace, $98; Bryant necklace, $68; Spikes and Leather pendant necklace, $145.
I know, I know…I want one of each too. But my favorites are from that beautiful Roaring ’10s collection, inspired by some of the great architecture in Manhattan. It would be such a chic way to carry around a little love for the Big Apple, without having to sport an “I Heart NY” tee.
Best of all, Jené’s pricing hasn’t caught up to her talent. Despite the fact that they’re gold-plated, made by hand and contain precious or semi-precious stones, you can score most of her pieces for well under $100, putting them squarely in “impulse buy” territory in my book. Which, as you might guess, is a pretty dangerous part of town.
wow!! these are amazing, i love the modern art deco look. it’s the perfect way to mix the geometric trend with a nod to tradition.
GORGEOUS!
So glad you guys love these pieces as much as I do!
