Remember when you were a kid, and the sight of a rock with a bit of color or sparkle in it thrilled you? When Christine Mighion emailed to show me her latest collection, I couldn’t help thinking it was a little like those childhood days of finding that perfect stone along the beach.

I’m a sucker for raw stones in any form, but Christine has taken it to a new level. By extracting slices from a larger piece, she gets the color and beauty of the gem with all the depth and texture of a raw stone. Then she pairs them with eco-friendly recycled gold to create a simple, stunning piece that’s really all about the stone.
