sale of the day: thomas pink

thomas pink isn’t known for trendy, but classic is the name of the game today. if you’re in the market for The Perfect White Shirt, or something a little more fun, look no further than the annual sale happening at thomas pink right now. their timeless, impeccably tailored button-downs are marked down from about $200 to the $60-80 neighborhood, so it’s well worth your time to take a look.

i love this old-school rosette placket version, which would be so chic with a colored tank underneath, and a funky blazer or sweater on top.

and i have to admit that i think this black tuxedo version, subbing swarovski crystals for the normal pleating, is pretty fabulous too. with slim black pants and a lacy camisole underneath, this would be amazing as a cocktail dress substitute.

loads of classic options available as well, but shop quick! your work wardrobe will thank you.

Thanks for the heads up! I didn’t by for me, but I DID buy for the hubby. He’s been lusting after TP for a long time (can you believe I’m married to a guy who lusts after clothes? He’s got a thing for nice dress clothes… anyway…). And now that the prices are much more in our budget, I got him a shirt and cuff links for his bday. Hope they fit and hope he likes them! (oh, and I hope he doesn’t somehow find this post!)

I love the look of dress shirts and I work in a corporate environment but they *NEVER* fit me – it’s so frustrating! I am “blessed” with a 34D and a little waist – what fits on top is like a tent everywhere else or I am gaping at the buttons. It’s part of what I call The Tyranny of Women’s Workwear. I have seen shirts sold by bra size (http://www.rebeccaandrew.com/) but they’re so expensive! I am also considering buying some buttondowns from Brooks Brothers or Pink and having them tailored. Does anyone have experience with either option?
