kidding, of course. i’m actually starting this blog because my husband keeps mentioning what a lovely blogger i’d make. personally, i think it’s his way of telling me to get a new audience for my random babbling, but let’s assume the best, shall we?

my motivation for starting this little blogdom is slightly less pure – i wanted (1) a place to gush about books i read, since i haven’t found a book club in my new suburban ‘hood; and (2) a place to gush about fabulous things i find to buy – which are nearly always online and too expensive. and yes, i think an outlet for my ‘random thoughts’ is probably not the worst idea my husband has ever had.
