as some of you may have noticed, eye products are something of an obsession for me these days. in my quest to get rid of my ever-present dark circles, i’ve tried everything: creams, serums, powders, concealers…you wouldn’t believe the quantity of “miracle” potions in my powder room. and lately, with the economy doing such wonderful things, well, my eyes aren’t getting any younger.
and, while it’s true that i still haven’t found the holy grail that permanently removes the circles and lines, i’ve become a pretty serious convert to freeze 24-7’s anti-aging eye serum. rather than promising to permanently erase all of the nasties, it simply cleans them up for the day. i’m no expert at all in the science of it, but the way it feels, i’d say it’s more or less pulling the skin around my eyes, so that the skin covering the dark circles gets thicker, and the skin with the wrinkles gets pulled taut. sounds crazy, i know…but really, as i sit here typing, i can feel the stuff stretching my skin, like a temporary eye lift. don’t you just love science?
the end result? i know the circles aren’t gone, but i certainly can’t see them. and for today, that’s good enough! my only gripe is that the pump on the bottle forces out way more product than you need…so it’s a bit of a struggle every morning to get the right amount out without wasting product. but hey, if the dispenser is my big problem, i’m doing pretty well.
pick up your miracle serum at freeze’s website for, i’ll admit, a pricey $115. but i will say the bottle is huge – at least a six-month supply, if you can get that pump to cooperate. and, if you sign up for their email alerts, they frequently have pretty amazing coupons (i recall a 50% off sale not long ago). but even at full price, it’s definitely worth it.
