be mine! a valentine’s giveaway

happy valentine’s week, everyone – whether you’re celebrating solo or duo, i hope you have some fun things plannned (or are at least enjoying some of that delish v-day candy that’s available only once a year!).

since valentine’s is about celebrating with, and giving to, the ones you love, i thought it only appropriate that i take advantage of the opportunity to make all of you dear readers my valentine! so, i’m thrilled to announce our valentine’s giveaway of couture and chocolate. dream come true, no?

so, we’ll have TWO winners of this giveaway! one of you will be taking home that gorgeous heart “life” tee, above, from terra collection. these tees retail for around $60, and are really extraordinary in person: uber-soft organic cotton, beautifully designed with screening and gorgeous stitching to add texture. plus, 15% of each purchase goes to fund various environmental charities…and you know how i love reasons to justify spending. the winner can choose any of terra’s fab tees (life, air, earth and water), but in honor of the season, i had to suggest the heart!

our second winner will be gorging on a truly decadent box of bonbons from ballotin chocolates. with flavor concoctions like citrus caramel, ceylon cinnamon, and strawberry balsamic…well, it’s probably just as well these won’t arrive until after valentine’s day, as i’m pretty confident your significant other would have a tough time competing. hmm…maybe i should re-think giving these away…

holiday giveaway: crocodile wallet from pallie bags!!

how’s that for a holiday gift? i can’t even begin to express how much i adore the wallet i’m giving away this week. but let’s just say you’re lucky the prize is being sent to the winner straight from the designer.

this amazing pale blue-grey, croc-embossed wallet is simply decadent. the leather is amazing, and the style is pure luxury (in fact, it reminds me a little too much of a certain hermes wallet i’ve been coveting for years). the interior has plenty of room for credit cards, and even contains a matching zippered pouch that can be carried separately. designed by pallie bags, this stunner retails for $260…but one of my lovely readers will be spending the holidays with it…free! yes, it just might be the best gift ever.

for those who aren’t familiar, pallie is an up-and-coming line of handbags that focuses on classic styles, beautifully crafted. honestly, my favorite piece in the collection is this wallet – i am just in love. but the marshall messenger (possibly the perfect travel bag) and the mini-marie clutch (love the gold chain and stud detailing!) are also to die for.

SMC giveaway: custom clutch from beegee bags!

i’ve been so excited to announce this one…what fun!! the designer and owner of beegee bags is offering one of our readers the opportunity to custom design one of her fab clutches – free!

i’ve been lucky enough to spend some time with a beegee or two, and i have to say, they’ve become all but indispensible. they make a perfect addition to my handbag, carrying makeup, extra keys, credit cards, etc. but i can also load in just the necessities and turn this into a great clutch for day OR night – unlike any of my other clutches, which seem to be strictly evening-only. and these bags are impeccably made: the hardware is substantial, the fabrics are stunning…i can’t get enough. i’m already mentally listing the women in my life who will be receiving these as gifts this year.

i love the idea of designing something particularly festive for the holidays, and beegee has some fab holiday fabrics to choose from…but really, anything goes. the lucky winner gets to choose fabric, shape, pleating – the works! check out all of the options on their website (styles 3 and 4 are my picks, but they’re all lovely).

SMC giveaway: shannon nicole headbands!

how fun are these headbands by designer shannon nicole? part gossip girl, part kenley from project runway, feathered accents like these are oh-so-hot this season. i love that you can choose how brightly you want to feather your nest. the pheasant style (center) is pretty mellow, all things considered, and blends beautifully into lighter hair. the ostrich (left) is a great option to show off a bigger flash of the trend, while still keeping your look tailored. and the robin (right), well, that’s for a night on the town – no question about it. throw this on with your favorite metallic minidress, and you’ll be the toast of the party! you can see all of her fab designs over at shop a list (along with loads of other lovely things).

SMC giveaway: pleated frame bag from nest!

now that labor day is behind us, it’s officially fall! in celebration, i’m thrilled to introduce our first fall giveaway, sponsored by the fabulous people at nest bags! i am absolutely crazy about this pleated frame bag, and was thrilled when they offered it up to one of you lovely readers (after only briefly considering just keeping it for myself!).
